Frequently Asked Questions

SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

Do you ship internationally?

Most items can be shipped worldwide. Please contact us if you wish to inquire about international postage. We will charge only the actual cost of shipping. Please realize that since the USPS discontinued economy shipping a couple of years ago, priority mail is often the least expensive option.

How do ship items?

Items are usually shipped within one business day. Fabrics are shipped folded or on the bolt, depending on quantity and type of fabric. We generally use UPS and the US Postal Service. If you have a preference for method or carrier, please contact us prior to purchase. We will try to accommodate your request whenever possible. Upgrades (such as UPS 2nd day or USPS express mail) are charged at cost less the $10.00 flat rate. You would pay only the difference between flat rate and desired upgrade.

How much does shipping cost?

We ship any size order to the continental United States for a flat rate of $10.00. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii may be more but will be discounted by the amount of flat rate shipping to the nearest continental state. Next and second day shipping upgrades are available. You would pay only the difference between standard shipping and your chosen upgrade.

Can I combine an item purchased from your website store with an item purchased from one of your ebay stores?

We will try to accommodate requests to do that whenever possible. However, because items must be paid for through the site they were purchased from, shipping costs cannot be combined at this time.

PRICING QUESTIONS:

Is the price for one yard or for all of the yardage listed?

Many of our fabrics are priced for the entire length listed. You will find these in the "Remnants and Bolt Ends" category. We also list some fabrics by the yard, and they are priced accordingly and listed in the "By The Yard" Category.

I found a price for the same item at another site online. Will you match that price?

We believe our pricing, which is below (and often only a small fraction of) wholesale cost, is fair and a good value. We also guarantee our fabrics are authentic and not any of the inferior quality copies imported from China and elsewhere that have recently been showing up on other sites. (Some of these knock-offs even have the name of the original manufacturer printed on the selvage.) For that reason we maintain our own pricing. Prices on the special offerings in our website store are not negotiable.

When do you have sales?

We will likely not be having sales on our website as our prices are already lower than most sales. We do carry a selection of special purchase fabrics that are priced from $6.99 to $19.99 per yard. These fabrics can be found in our "Design on a Dime" Category.

FABRIC & WALLPAPER QUESTIONS:

Are all of your fabrics and wallpapers 1st quality?

Yes. All of our fabrics and wallpapers are new, first quality, high-end to-the-trade fabrics.

Can I get a sample of the fabric or wallcovering I am interested in?

We do have a limited number of swatches available for a few pre-cut fabrics and most custom cut (by the yard) fabrics on our website. Because many of our pre-cut fabrics are one-of-a-kind pieces we cannot offer swatches on most of those because cutting swatches would reduce the available yardage and the fabric could be sold before the sample is delivered. The information about an item will indicate if swatches are available or you can check the "Swatches" category for a complete list. There is a nominal charge for swatches that are approximately 6"x6" to 5"x7" unless otherwise stated.

Who is the manufacturer of a particular fabric?
What is the content of your fabrics?

All information we have about a fabric is included in the listing. In addition to direct purchases from design houses and mills, we also sell "left overs" for several interior design firms and they do not always arrive with as much identification as we would like. Those we can't track down are listed with as much information as we can be sure of. On rare occasions we may have agreed not to divulge a manufacturer's name or (even rarer :-) forget to include something (we are, as much as we hate to admit it, only human:-) so feel free to check with us, but it is likely that if it is not included, we simply don't know or can't verify the information. Thank you for understanding.

Will my fabric yardage be in one piece?

Custom cut yardage will be in one length. Pre-cut pieces are almost always one length. If a listed fabric remnant is in more than one length, the description will clearly indicate that.

I noticed you have the same fabric/wallpaper on your website and in your eBay store. Are they one and the same?

Yes and no. It may be the same pattern, but it is not the same piece. We may occasionally list the same fabric or paper on both sites if we have enough quantity to do that, but they would not be from the same bolt and may not be the same dye lot. We do not list the same piece of fabric on more than one site.  Same goes for trims and wallpapers. If, for example, there are 20 rolls of wallpaper available in our website store, and 10 rolls of the same pattern listed in our eBay store, it means we have 30 rolls of that wallpaper that may or may not be from the same dye lot.

I need more of a fabric/wallcovering than you have listed. Is it possible you have any more?

Possibly but probably not. We list as much yardage as we have in stock at the time of the listing. Best thing to do if you need larger quantities is to check back frequently. Newer by-the-yard fabrics all start out with substantial yardage, but some sell very quickly so if you want 27 yards, and we have 30 listed, do not hesitate because if someone else purchases 8 yards, for example, there would only be 22 yards left. However, occasionally we may get more of a fabric in after listing the initial yardage and we are always happy to check for you - Just contact us with your question and be sure to include the name of the product and the sku number.

Can you order more of a particular fabric if I need more?

We are decorators and can order all current fabrics direct from any design house. However, fabrics purchased that way would be discounted off the retail price and not below wholesale as the items we sell on-line are. Discounts usually range from 30 to 40% off retail, depending on cost of fabric and yardage purchased.

Can you tell me how many yards of fabric or rolls of wallpaper I need for my project?

We suggest you download our free yardage charts or see the information in our wallpaper listings for estimating purposes and then check with whoever is doing your wallpapering, upholstery or sewing your window treatments for exact yardages.

How do you do it? I paid four times as much for the same fabric/wallpaper through my interior decorator!

You can read all about that on our About Us page.
